STORY

Three acts

Provisionally a twelve-episode season: three acts, four episodes each. Form (feature / series / other) is still marked for confirmation. Hooks only. No scenes. No screenplay.

Lu Yi will treat the Echoscape first as his own illness, then as a system he can master, and only last as what it is: the translation is the contamination. Lin Yue stays on the real side. Huntun never explains what he has made.

  1. Soundwell · Echo Corridor: act one's ornate transense

    I

    The Beast

    01–04

Who am I? Where is this?

The spectacle arrives first. He thinks it is illness, fatigue, a crack in reason. The river jade arrives in the same act—an unmarked parcel, a slip of paper: Guard this well.

  2. Lightcleft · Mirror Hall: the cracks of act two

    II

    The Cipher

    05–08

What is the law? Who is writing it?

The mapping starts to line up. He builds a dictionary. The cracks arrive with it. When raw-sense cannot be made into story, decode-lock tears down every picture that had worked.

  3. Rhythmcore · Heartbeat: act three, rhythm only

    III

    The Walker

    09–12

How do you protect a soul that cannot be translated?

His father walked here too. In the vacuum's white noise the old methods fail. This is not a level to clear. He kneels, and puts the child to his heartbeat.

Black meteoric iron: the season hook, not this season's answer

Season hook

Season one ends in letting go: the child starts naming the world; the father learns to listen. Then another parcel with no sender—black meteoric iron, cold and heavy, the same six words. Jade was protection. Iron may be a ward, or a forging. That would be chaos before language. The rules are not fixed.
